Update: Analytics Section of INFORMS
The Analytics Section of INFORMS continues to boom, reports Section President Mike Gorman in the organization’s January newsletter, The Analytics Lens. According to Gorman, membership in the Section now exceeds 500, and its LinkedIn group has about 440 members. The Section will have “a strong presence” at the upcoming INFORMS Analytics Conference in April in Huntington Beach, Calif., when it will announce the winner of the first-ever “Innovations in Analytics Award.”
The Analytics Section announced its second award, the SAS and INFORMS Analytics Section Student Analytical Scholarship, which will allow a deserving student to go to the INFORMS Analytics Conference.
The Section’s newsletter also includes reports from the Aberdeen Business Summit on Analytics and the Predictive Analytics Innovation Summit Conference.
